Director of Investor Engagement

Director of Investor Engagement Salary £36,000 + pension contribution. Based in London

FairPensions is a groundbreaking charity that promotes responsible investment by pension funds and fund managers. Launched in 2005, it already has a strong track record of persuading major investors to increase shareholder activism on environmental, social and governance issues. Today, FairPensions is recognised in the UK as the leading NGO that monitors and engages with the investment industry.

We are looking for a Director of Investor Engagement to lead FairPensions’ work to persuade large investors to adopt responsible investment practices, and to propose action by institutional investors in relation to specific issues (i.e. single issue campaigns focusing on what companies are doing on the ground). Previously these campaigns have tackled access to medicines, mining in the developing world and climate change. The successful candidate would ideally have experience in finance, pen! sions, investment management or corporate social responsibility. The person must be comfortable communicating with senior figures in the City. We value diversity and welcome applications from all sections of society. Reporting to the Head of Research and Evaluation, the post holder is responsible for developing and implementing effective service performance and evaluation systems, processes and reporting of Breast Cancer Care’s services. They will also undertake research to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of our services, and research that informs the development of new and existing services.

You will be passionate about the effective evaluation of services and will have experience in managing and/or conducting research, evaluation or audit projects using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. We are looking for a good team player with an inclusive approach to working across departments.
